Co-written by Moina Alhajji, member of the World Youth Parliament for Water, this new article ahead of the 2026 UN Water Conference highlights how youth from Sudan, Syria, and Guatemala are working to tackle the challenges of water access, sanitation, and hygiene to ensure no one is left behind.

Gazi Nouman, member of the Sudan Youth Parliament for Water and the Sudan Young Water Professionals (IWA-YWP Sudan), highlighting youth-led resilience and solar desalination initiatives in conflict-affected communities.
Jose Castro, member of the Latin American Chapter of the World Youth Parliament for Water and co-founder of Segura, exploring community-based water monitoring and data governance in Guatemala.
Alongside key partners and through the Global Youth Movement for Water, we are working to implement the Water Youth Strategy and institutionalize meaningful youth participation in decision-making processes at all levels.
