Bali Youth Parliament for Water

Objective

Established in 2023 as a regional chapter of the World Youth Parliament for Water, the Bali Youth Parliament for Water (BYPW) is a youth-led organization dedicated to empowering young generations to become catalysts for positive change in the water sector.

BYPW actively addresses critical water challenges and advocates for Sustainable Development Goals 6. BYPW also creates platforms for networking, information access, public policy advocacy, and has successfully fostered alliances with more than 50 organizations, including NGOs and government bodies nationally and internationally. Guided by executive leadership and operating through five specialized departments, BYPW have executed monumental projects, such as the “We Are Water” plastic installation art project during the 10th World Water Forum 2024, Water-related discussion, and widespread water education & projects across Bali.

Upcoming Initiative : SEA Youth Water Summit 2026

SEA Youth Water Summit 2026 is a regional gathering of young water leaders, coordinators, funders, technical institutions, and strategic partners to accelerate youth‑led action on water security in Southeast Asia. Its central purpose is to lay the groundwork for, and secure support toward, the formal establishment of the SEA Youth Water Coalition as a structured, long‑term coordination space for young water professionals. Organised around four core themes:

Water & Food Nexus
Water & Sanitation
Water for Industries, and
Water & Energy Nexus

The summit’s objective is to build shared understanding, strengthen collaboration, and position youth voices to meaningfully influence water decisions and policies across the region.
