From over 20 countries and 6 continents, members of the World Youth Parliament for Water gathered in Brasilia for the World Water Forum and to hold its general assembly. Reuniting every three year, the goal of the assembly is to develop a strategic vision for the Parliament and to elect a new leadership and regional representants.
Appearing in several events during the World Water Forum, members of the Parliament further cemented the role youth as agents of change, and the importance of their voice in dicussions on climate change, and water related issues.
The Forum hosted, for the first time, a Junior Forum, in which over 70 young water leaders participated. It concluded with a collective Call to Action,where youth reaffirmed their position as leaders, and the need to support and create space for youth to actively participate in water solutions.
