Christina is the coordinator of the greek delegation. She is a 19-year-old student at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her interests lie in the arts, especially drawing, which helps her clear her mind. She also enjoys reading fantasy books and staying active through regular exercise.

Maria is a Youth Worker at the Braga Youth Centre in Portugal. She has an extensive background in the arts, having studied Visual Arts and Theatre before earning a Master’s degree in Communication, Arts, and Culture. Passionate about youth engagement, she organized a roadshow on democracy and the European elections, highlighting the importance of civic participation.

She is responsible for the ESC project of the association, which is accredited within the scope of the EU project. In charge of the animation of the network of European cities of the Club of Strasbourg, he worked on projects related to the youth, the education to the European citizenship as well as the reception of the refugee persons. The richness of the contacts he has made over the years has led him to pursue his career in the field of international cooperation, this time on the side of civil society. He's now the European Office Coordinator of the International Secretariat for Water - Solidarity Water Europe.

Tomasz Rozbicki

Europe
Tomasz Rozbicki is a lecturer at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, with expertise in meteorology, climatology, and air pollution. His research focuses on the hydrological balance, biometeorological comfort, and agrometeorological parameters in relation to climate change, both locally and globally. Tomasz teaches courses on Meteorology, Climatology, Agrometeorology, and Air Pollution Control. His work aims to understand and mitigate the impacts of climate change on water conditions and biodiversity.

Antonella Cagnolati

President
A qualified economist, and European civil servant for more than 30 years, Antonella Cagnolati was Director of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and manager of the environment, regional development and local authorities sector in the Parliamentary Assembly of the same structure. She is currently working as an expert consultant in governance, local democracy and citizenship. In this role she coordinated the 2013 and 2014 editions of the Council of Europe’s Lisbon Forums focusing on the aftermath of the Arab Spring, electoral processes and democratic governance in Southern Mediterranean countries. She is co-founder of Solidarity Water Europe, created following the Blue Europe action plan that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe organised in 1993-1994.

Sarah Dousse

Executive Director
Sarah Dousse started at the ISW-SWE as an an advisor on development, partnerships and communication. She is now executive director for the movement, contributing to its advocacy work in many different areas. A socioeconomist by training with a solid understanding of international development, particularly in the water and sanitation sector, her natural curiosity and desire for a challenge led her to work and study abroad. She has worked for local NGOs and for the water division of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). While at the SDC, she advocated for access to water and sanitation to be considered a human right, and for the inclusion of a specific water goal in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She is a native of Switzerland.

Clément Dolisi

European Office Coordinator
From Strasbourg, Clément studied in Paris (SciencesPo) and London (King’s College). He specialized in public affairs and international relations. Haby Niang

Civic service volunteer
With a keen interest in the promotion and protection of human rights, Haby became involved in the NGO world as soon as she graduated from high school. To complement her associative experience, she chose to enroll in the Master of Public International Law program at Strasbourg’s Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management. It was after a trip to Senegal that she decided to take a greater interest in the field of access to water and sanitation. On her return to France, she joined the Solidarity Water Europe team as part of an 8-month civic service, with the aim of deepening her knowledge of the subject.

Noémie Plumier

Noémie attended university in France. She graduated in 2020 with a Master’s degree in International Public Law and Political Science, specialising in International Relations. She then specialised in international environmental law and obtained her second Master’s degree in 2022. For a decade, Noémie alternated volunteer and professional experience as a lawyer and coordinator in WASH, Human Rights and Development Cooperation projects between Africa and the Caribbean. For over 3 years, she was an active member of the World Youth Parliament for Water as a facilitator of strategic partnerships.

Clémence Désiré

Youth Projects Assistant
Passionate about human rights, Clémence holds a master’s degree in “International Cooperation and NGOs” from Sorbonne Paris Nord. During her final year of studies, she wrote a thesis on the right to water in France before joining the ISW-SWE team in Strasbourg for an eight-month civic service. She now works as a Youth Projects Assistant for the Montreal office.

After holding a master’s degree in business economics and communication, Louis chose to change his path by using its competences in environment causes. He joined Solidarity Water Europe for a civic service, and is now pursuing a new masters degree in environnement and political sciences, aiming to work in the advocacy field later on.

János Áder is a Hungarian politician and lawyer who served as President of Hungary from 2012 to 2022. He was elected a MEP during the 2009 European Parliament election. He functioned as Deputy Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety from January to May 2012. He Established in 2016 Blue Planet Foundation in order to raise the society’s environmental awareness within and beyond the borders of Hungary.

With over 35 years of experience, she has worked at the Council of Europe in roles related to environmental law, sustainable development, and natural heritage. She has published extensively on landscape, sustainable development, and human rights, with a focus on environmental law.

Attila Dávid Molnár

The Plastic Cup Initiative
Attila Dávid Molnár is an award-winning nature filmmaker, director, and environmental advocate. He is the co-founder of the PET Cup, a civil initiative aimed at cleaning the Tisza River, which has removed over 10 tons of waste. As president of Naturesfilm.hu, he has produced numerous films on nature conservation, environmental protection, and waste management. He is also the head of River Monitoring & Citizen Science Units and the coordinator of the Aquatic Plastic project.

Alan Atkisson

Global Water Partnership
Alan AtKisson leads the Global Water Partnership, an intergovernmental organization supporting a dynamic global action network with 13 regional offices and 77 country programs. He serves as Executive Secretary and CEO at GWP's global secretariat, based in Stockholm. Alan AtKisson previously held a wide variety of leadership and advisory roles in sustainable development and has been an active leader and innovator in the field since 1988. He most recently served as Assistant Director-General and Director of the Department for Partnership and Innovation at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agenda, Sida.

Amandine Henckel-Warth

European Collectivity of Alsace
Amandine Henckel-Warth, PhD in Molecular Biology, has a diverse background that combines science, communication, environment, and cross-border cooperation. After spending nearly 8 years in scientific research, including 4 years in Germany, she chose to focus on environmental issues related to air quality and climate change, first as a communicator and then as a cross-border cooperation officer at ATMO Grand Est. In 2021, she joined the French local public administration to focus on the broad issues of cross-border cooperation, while maintaining a strong interest in environmental matters. She is currently the Deputy Head of the Cross-Border Cooperation Department at the European Collectivity of Alsace and is part of the organizing team for the Rhine Water Conference.

Tibor BÍRÓ

Ludovika University of Public Service
Tibor Bíró is an Associate Professor at the University of Public Service, specializing in water science. As Head of the Laboratory of Flood Research, his expertise spans water management, floodplain management, and water quality control. His notable contributions include assessing major environmental disasters, such as the Kolontar red mud spill, and supporting global water quality initiatives.

Attila Lovas

GWP Hungary Foundation
Attila Lovas, President of GWP Hungary Foundation, holds a Master of Science in Water Management from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He served as Technical Director of the Middle Tisza District Water Directorate from 2004 to 2009 and has been its General Director since 2009. His extensive experience in water management supports his leadership in promoting sustainable water solutions in Hungary.

Anna Berczi-Siket

Anna Berczi-Siket is a Senior Sustainability Policy and Legal Advisor for the Living Rivers Program. With extensive experience in public administration, she specializes in environmental education, particularly for judges. Her expertise includes international relations, communication, and negotiation, and she has played a key role in representing major sustainability projects at a global level.

Benedek Jando, the National Winner of the 2023 Stockholm Junior Water Prize contest, has been passionate about natural sciences since childhood, with a particular focus on biology, zoology, and ecology. His early interest in wildlife evolved into scientific research, especially in freshwater ecology and ecohydraulics, where he integrates his knowledge of evolutionary biology and ecological monitoring.

Ákos Monoki

Hortobágy National Park
Ákos Monoki is a park ranger/Közép-Tisza-Jászság Head department of Hortobágy National Park Directorate. He is dedicated to the research and preservation of the collared pratincole, and also advocates for the protection of the remaining wetlands in the Nagykunság region of Hungary. Ákos researches other bird species in Hungary, such as the long-eared owl and the ferruginous duck.

Andras Szollosi-Nagy

A distinguished scholar, professor and internationally recognized water expert,Professor Szöllösi-Nagy is a native of Hungary. He earned a Ph.D. in hydrology from the Budapest University of Technology and was awarded a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He has taught and conducted research all over the world. A consultant to the UN since the 1980s, he joined UNESCO in Paris in 1989 as Director of the Division of Water Sciences and Secretary of the International Hydrological Programme. He became the Rector of the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft in 2009. Professor Szöllösi-Nagy is the recipient of numerous other global awards and honors in the international water sector, including the Distinguished Associate Award of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) in 2005 and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Award in the field of water.

Sustainable development expert with a holistic approach, specialising in corporate sustainability. Podcast co-hosting as personal social responsibility. Due to 15 years of diplomatic past she is skilled in multi-cultural team management, governmental affairs, communication and protocol.
